Wiki Consultation/psychiatric diagnostic eval

Newish to behavioral health coding,
I have a PMHNP-BC in my group that is taking referral/consultations from another in house medical provider. He does and initial evaluation, psychotherapy and recommendations for medications which the provider then prescribes. I am wondering would this just be the 90791 or??? he thinks its consultation, with psychotherapy. But i am a little confused as both those codes are driven by time. would he have to break up that time for each clearly in the note?

Can NP's not prescribe in your state? We have the same situation but the patients are managed completely by the PMH-NP. We bill out the regular E/M codes for med management we bill E/M with the add on for counseling. In our case the NP would bill out the 90792 because they do prescribe. Will the patient return to see the NP or be managed by the PCP?
