If a physician discharges a patient during the surgical global period and the patient is then admitted to in patient rehab and the rehab physician consults the surgeon, can an inpatient consult be billed or only if it is unrelated to the surgery?

Any charges within the global time period related to the surgery would be included and not separately chargeable.
