Is there a specific diagnosis code for when a provider is doing comparative x-rays? My example is the provider orders left knee xray, dx is right knee osteoarthritis, and it is a comparative xray.

We have a company policy / agreement with hospitals that when documentation clearly states one side is a comparison view we do not bill for that side at all. Otherwise we have to bill it with the only dx provided (usually for the opposite laterality).
