Hey can someone help me make sense of a reject I am getting.
I have billed a screening colonoscopy non high risk to a medicare advantage plan G0121, the insurance plan rejected telling me that I cannot use Z12.11 as the diagnosis because it is a title 1 diagnosis so it can't be used as primary.
WHAT??? I have never heard of this, and I am not new to billing/coding. Is there something new I have not heard.
I appreciate any help I can get.
