Wiki Coding units for 64415 by CRNA

I have a CRNA that did a Brachial plexus. He wants this billed with 8 units. The CPT book says to report once per nerve plexus, nerve, or branch regardless of of the number of injections. In the Optum Coding & Payment Guide there is no base units for 64415. I have looked on several websites and I'm getting different answers. Where can I find the correct answer?

Code 64415 is allowed once. The MAI is three meaning that anything over one unit will need to be appealed with documentation for possible payment. If it had an MAI of two then only one unit would be allowed per day. If he wants to bill eight, the documentation better support it. Even then the insurance may decide not to cover all eight.
