Wiki Coding skin cancer removal from ear with delay of pedicle flap

I'm not sure how to code. Dr. removed a cancer from patients ear then constructed a pedicle flap with delayed inset. Do I code the surgery with the skin lesion removal and formation of pedicle flap and the delay of flap at post op when the wound is closed?

You are correct. You will code the excision and pedicle flap separate from the delay inset. The date of service will be the date they are performed. You will need a 58 modifier for the delayed inset of flap.
