The patient reports to the ER at the hospital becasuse her dialysis cath is broken.
The doctor dictates:
Transfer set was successfully replaced by the Hemodialysis nurse. The pertioneal dialysis treatment can be resumed.
Is this considered a codeable procedure and if so which cpt would you used.
The arguement is cpt 36578 vs no reportable cpt code.
Due to the description of the cpt, however using 3M it maps you to cpt 36578.
