Wiki Coding Hot BX and Cold BX

I have a pt that had a HOT bx ( hot forceps removal) and a Cold bx ( cold forceps removal) in the cecum. I know I can bill both if in separate areas. Can I bill both if in same area?

Yes, you can. I code for gastroenterology. We just use the -59 modifier. Hope this helps
