Wiki Coding for a full leg xray?????

If anyone could help that would be great. How do we bill out a 2 view (AP and lateral) xray from hip to ankle. I cannot locate a code for this and separating out per joint seems to be alot to bill for.

I want to make sure on how we do this. Our doctors maybe doing more of these in the future.

How was it done? If it was done in sections with multiple images (i.e. upper leg and lower leg done separately) then you would want to bill the individual x-rays for each. If, however it was taken as one solid image I dont believe there is a code for that so you may need to use the unlisted code. If you need to use the unlisted I would make sure you note why it was necessary to do the entire leg at once as opposed to each section at a time. Hope I could help!
