Job Details:




Compliance Auditor for Colorado Health Medical Group, working with physicians and clinics. This position can be based out of Fort Collins or Colorado Springs.

Summary




Responsible for performing compliance and operational audits to identify compliance-related risks, internal control weaknesses, revenue capture opportunities and determine the root cause of any identified noncompliance with government rules and regulations, state laws and UCH policies and protocols.




Job duties




?Assists in maintaining area compliance plans. Works with assigned area?s management to maintain compliance plans.
?Performs compliance audits.
?Performs independent audits of various clinics and upon request hospital operations and the corresponding billing process for proper compliance with governmental regulations as it relates to documentation, coding accuracy, etc., and consults with coding experts where appropriate.
?Performs charge master reviews when assigned.
?Properly documents and communicates at the senior Hospital management level regarding compliance audit findings.
?Coordinates investigations as directed by the supervisor.




Requirements




?Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or certification as a Professional Coder or Coding Specialist
?Three years medical auditing, coding and/or quality control or case management experience




Preferred



?Customer Service, Communication, Partnering, Problem-Solving, Change Medical terminology Ability to read, write, comprehend, and preview regulations Ability to train and make presentations Good oral/written communications skills Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding Ability to perform accurate arithmetic calculations.
?Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
