Position Overview
The team lead position under general supervision instructs, trains, and participates with a team of Billing and Collections Analysts. This person will assist in leading efforts to collect outstanding receivables from patients, private and government insurance providers, and will review patient accounts while handling complex and sensitive patient data. As appropriate this person will participate in Alleviant's process improvement plans and monthly metric meetings.

Essential Job Functions
Supervises and monitors the work of the Billing and Collections Analyst, while providing assistance to the staff on performance, progress, and training
•Helps to develop, implement, and evaluate client processes and procedures while establishing workflow management for the team
•Reviews team goals, objectives, and work standards to ensure that the client's expectations are being met.
•Assists and helps to develop communication, policies, system procedures to achieve monthly goals, objectives, and work standards
•Provides coaching and guidance for performance improvement and development
•Leads a staff to be successful and work as a team
•Will work closely with management and other leads


Additional Responsibilities
•Handles Sick and Vacation requests
•Works one evening per month or when needed
•Handles employee and client issues when appropriate


Requirements
•High School diploma or GED and two years of administrative or customer service experience involving billing and collections processes or customer service work is required
•At least 2 years of supervisor or manager experience is preferred
•Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to effectively communicate with the staff and clients
•Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or will agree to pursue within 12 months
•Ability to work with and maintain confidentiality of physician, patient, patient account, and personnel data
•Limited travel, may be required
