Does anyone know what administration code you would bill for J0897 (Denosumab-Xgeva-drug used to help prevent bone loss) in a patient with breast cancer? Is it considered a chemotherapy drug (96401) or a therapeutic or diagnostic drug (96372)?

We use 96372 and enter the J code info in box 19 of the HCFA.

It is 96372. 96401 is only for anti-neoplastic drugs which X-Geva is not....
