Hello!
I have a scenario where a patient came for an initial visit with Urogynecology, and was previously managed with a pessary given to her by her OBGYN. During the initial visit with Urogynecology, she had the pessary removed due to ulceration. She was set up with an appointment for a "pessary fitting." A pelvic exam was done during this encounter to make sure it was an appropriate time to reinsert this pessary, and then placed her old pessary back in. Would this encounter be considered a pessary fitting or a pessary check?
