We have recently started getting denials for claims with a diagnosis of M50.32 when patients are coming in for physical therapy. Does anyone have an idea for why this might be and how we can fix this issue? This is occurring across multiple carriers. Thanks

M50.02 is not a valid code as of Oct 1, 2017 it now requires a 6th character. You can go to http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/icd.htm to get the entire list of new codes. But you should have a 2017 code book in your office.
