Hi Everyone,

Pt previously had stroke and now comes to the clinic for anti coauglation maintenance.What is the code I shoud use when there is not sufficient documentation about residual condition?

Patient without any residual condition I use V58.83, V58.63 & V12.54 .

When do you use 436?

V12.54 is the code to use for a patient with a past stroke without residual effect, which sounds like your case. If you can't find documentation that they have residual effect, I would assume they do not have any.
