I am having a hard time pinning down a concrete answer on how to code a coccyx injection. The op note states "I inserted needle between cornua and passed horizontally through the ligament. I aspirated to ensure needle did not penetrate thecal sac or a blood vessel." This sounds to me more like a trigger point injection than a joint injection (provider assigned 20600). It wasn't a "spinal" injection because the documentation states that the thecal sac wasn't penetrated. Can anyone help?
