Wiki Co-Pay Question

When a pt meets their out of pocket costs for the calendar year does that mean they do not pay their co-pay?

Typically the pt would still have a ov copay even after they have met their deductible and out of pocket.

It will depend on their specific benefits.

Some plans will still have a copay (if the copays do not apply toward the out of pocket maximum).

Some plans (like Blue Cross Federal) apply the copays towards the OOP. Once the out of pocket is met, no more copays.
