Could you please explain the CMS date of service policy, with regards to MLN MM8399 effective 1-1-2014. We are currently billing Morphology code set (global and PC combination) using the interpretation date, only to receive CMS denials for consolidated billing to an in/out patient claim on file. When question the Medicare reps., stated that there is not a face to face date of service on file, (when the bone marrow biopsy was done) at the clinic, that collaborates the date of the morphology, because we are using the interpretation date. can we bill global and PC combinations using the collection date? PLEASE HELP!!
