Our orthopedician is treating a fracture with casting. No manipulation done. patient followed up for 2 weeks and fracture treated. For procedure billing, We have to bill cast or Can i bill closed reduction without manipulation. Kindly suggest.

You can bill a closed treatment of the fx without manipulation. The initial casting is included in the fx charge. You will then trigger a global period, during which the office exam is included in your initial fx, but you may then bill for additional services such as recasting or films.
