Wiki Chronic Use of Pain Medicine

Hi! Does anyone have any feedback on how to code "chronic use of pain medicine?" I was thinking possibly V58.69 but that is more for "high-risk meds" so I am not really sure what other options are out there.

V58.69 is what there is, unless you know the specific drug such as a steriod that has its own number. If the provider states chronic pain then you can also code the appropriate 338.2x code for the chronic pain. The with the addition of the V58.69 you are good to go.
