Provider sends in a pap smear (Surepath) and orders Chlamydia and Gonorrhea testing in addition to the pap smear. Nothing else regarding coding is on the order except a V72.31. In calling the provider's office they are telling us this is a screening order. Would I code this with a V74.5 on the GC/Chlamydia cpt codes? OR code the V74.5 & V72.31?
