I use that information to capture additional reimbursement for the facility. I maintain payer fee schedules and newsletters, and use these to complete analyses. I build worksheets in Excel to present data to my supervisors and recommend rate increases as needed. I also negotiate rate reductions with non contracted payers, perform the monthly operation summary, and assist in file transfers to extended business office contractors.
