Has anyone taken the speciality exam for CGIC? I have my CPC and CGSC, and was wondering if this is a challenging exam? I have been coding GI for many years and just wondering if it's worth the agony of another exam? Thanks!
I took the CGIC exam today..6/11/2016 and find it to be very challenging. I have being coding for GI for the past seven years and fine this exam to be challenging. Finding the CPT is not the problem, putting the diagnosis code in order is the problem. The exam is 40 cases with three or four questions attached to each cases. These cases are very long and takes time to read through them. The knowledge of knowing what the exam is like the first time, will certainly give you the oppurtunity to past the second time.
Coding is a challenge, so give it a try. Goodluck.
