Job Title: Certified Medical Coder

Responsibilities
Clinical Neurology Specialists is looking for a Certified Medical Coder to join its billing department team. This position is ideal for individuals interested in working in a fast-paced medical office, within a team of other billing professional.
The individual selected for the position will work closely with billing staff, medical insurance carriers, providers, patients, and other personnel to fulfill their requirements.
Medical Coder Job Requirements:
? ICD9 / ICD 10
? Knowledge of all concepts, practices, and procedures within a medical billing office
? Knowledge of basic office equipment including copier, fax machine, and computer
? Knowledge of efficiently work the aging
? Knowledge of coding, posting charges and payments
? Ability to explain financial responsibility to the patient
? Ability to use Electronic Medical Record Systems
? Ability to use computers for word processing, e-mail software, etc.
? Ability in dealing with interpersonal issues and customer relations
? Ability to handle multiple priorities at once with minimal supervision
? Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions
? Ability to organize and communicate clearly
? Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information
Qualifications
Certified Medical Coder: Experience in coding and posting charges for both out-patient and in-patient facilities. Ability to post charges, correctly, for multiple providers, on timely basis. Experience in following up with providers and putting together a complete file for accurate posting of charges. Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in medical billing and charge posting. Must have ICD10 training/knowledge.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
This is a full-time position.
Pay is commensurate with experience, education and certification.
Pay Range: Dependent on knowledge, experience and certification
