Wiki Cash Patients

Can anyone tell me how they handle cash patients when presenting for surgery? Do you collect a certain amount up front? If so, is it a flat rate or do you base it off of what you believe the physician will be performing?

We ask the physician if it is an emergency. If it is not, then we collect the entire amount up-front. If it is something the doctor feels needs to be done emergently, then we let them do a payment plan.
