On 10/26/2018 the Addiction Nursing Certification Board (ANCB) was officially notified by the Accreditation Board of Specialty Nursing Certification (ABSNC) that accreditation for the Certified Addictions Registered Nurse (CARN) and the Certified Addictions Registered Nurse-Advanced Practice (CARN-AP) examinations has been granted.
Since the CARN-AP certification is now nationally recognized, is there a change in billing as an (expert) for a provider that currently holds this credentials? Has anyone done billing for CARN and/or CARN-AP providers and if so, does this change impact the way you bill for their services? I would appreciate any insight or information that anyone has on this.
