Hi all:
Have a situation here where we see patients from out of state after they have had fracture care or surgery.
We are located in florida and many people come down here to recuperate after surgery or fracture.
Naturally, their surgeon back home has performed the primary procedure and now they are down here on vacation and need our help.
There has been no transfer of care so 54, 55 and 56 won't work. However, we see these people for cast changes, complaints of pain, injections, x-rays, etc. I know we can bill the x-rays and cast supplies.
However, what else, if anything can we bill during the "global period" that we weren't part of?
Please - any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks everyone.
