I am struggling with this procedure. Dr. performs:
1. Intracardiac echocardiography (ICE)
2. Deployment of #30 Helex interatrial shunt closure device
3. Retreval of #30 Helex interatrial shunt closure device
93662,26 (ICE) and 93580 (PFO)
The PFO device was "successfully deployed with excellent splay around the aortic rim and good coaptation of the septum. We waited for the device to settle in and during this time we performed an ICE. Approximately 10 to 15 minutes later we re-confirmed position of the #30 Helex device and again it would not stay in place. Used a Cook retrieval forceps to graft the #30 Helex device and removed it from the interatrial septum. There were no complications related o this procedure. No pericardial effusion was seen. The interatrial shunt remained as it appeared prior to any intervention."
Do I just do a heart cath? Can I code a PFO implant and removal? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
