Can I use this (E11.69 - Type 2 diabetes mellitus with other specified complication (relate to E78.5), to associate diabetes with hyperlipidemia

Hi,

Even though it's not a common occurrence, If the provider has specified that the hyperlipidemia is due to diabetes then, I believe we should code both E11.69 and E78.5. Otherwise, why is the code E11.69 even in the classification. Hope it helps!
