I am a new kid on the block. I hope that you can assist. I would like to know how might I arrive at charge for a specific E/M code 99203 for a Medicare pt without a charge sheet?

Yes. Go to emuniversity.com and go into the explanation of his weekly cases. He has a link where you can check on what would be charged in your area.

Go to CMS http://www.cms.gov/apps/ama/license.asp?file=/pfslookup/02_PFSsearch.asp

screen 1---accept terms
screen 2--select single HCPCS and pricing info
screen 3 -- select you locality and default fields
screen 4---enter the info you're looking for (be sure to select your locality)
screen 5---for office services use the fee in "non-facility" column

most offices set fees at 2x or 2.5 times MCare allowable

You can go to your state's medicare fee schedule and find the allowance for 99203.
