Can someone please help with this.
Our doctor used an osteotome to remove a nonunion of the calcaneocuboid joint. Then a sagittal saw was used to remove the joint space at the calcaneus and at the cuboid. It was manually compressed and fixed with 2 richard staples and then DBX bone matrix was inserted over and in between the fusion site and over the calcaneus. Our doctor is saying that she did an ostectomy and arthrodesis, but we think that maybe she just did an osteotomy of the calcaneus.
