Has anyone coded a Cabrol fistula procedure before? If so what code should be used?
Or is it included in the other procedure(s) performed? In this case aortic root replacement (Bentall), PFO closure, VSD closure, CABG, and TV repair. Thanks.
 
Here is a description of the Cabrol fistula procedure, if that helps:
A large 8 cm x 14 cm bovine pericardial patch was selected. The patch was trimmed to contour. To anastomose, a long running suture line was created beginning on the innominate vein superiorly, extending down the superior vena cava onto the right atrial wall laterally and medially extending onto the pericardial edge, onto the pulmonary artery, onto the right ventricle. Prior to completion of the patch suture line, incision was made into the right atrium beneath the patch portion. The hole was enlarged and the patch closure was then completed to shunt the periaortic space into the right atrium to complete the modified Cabrol fistula.
