I do the coding and billing at an ASC facility and have trouble w/billing our implants. We normally bill C1713/C1762/C1763/C1776 when implants are used but have some information re: billing L8699. The threads are old so didn't know if anyone had some insight on the difference between billing C codes vs L8699 and if reimbursement is made. I am also curious if you should bill C codes even if we know the insurance won't pay for the implant? Costs have gone up for surgeries as I know all are aware of and we do a lot of ortho cases but lose out money when implants are used so am trying to get some information on what other ASCs are doing when it comes to reimbursement for implants. Hope this makes sense! Any information would be much appreciated!
