Remote Cardio Coder Wanted (EM and/or Surgical)
Aviacode is seeking remote medical coders to code cardiology, and/or cardiothoracic and/or cardiovascular office visits, diagnostic tests, procedures and surgeries. This is an ongoing, remote, work from home position.

About this position:
We will be coding for a 30+ physician cardiology institute which includes cardiologists, cardiac and thoracic surgeons as well as cardiovascular surgeons. This is an ongoing position with the possibility of a promotion to a FTE coder or supervisory salaried position at the discretion of the coding manager.

Responsibilities:
- Coding Cardiology, Cardiothoracic and cardiovascular encounters and procedures for providers.
- E/M coding for POS 11, 21, 22
- Diagnostic/Testing Coding related to Cardio, CT, CV
- Procedure and Surgical Coding related to Cardio, CT, CV
Qualifications:
- Must have 3+ years of cardiology specific coding experience
- CPC (or equivalent) required.
- CIRCC preferred, but not necessary
- Cardiology, and/or CT, and/or CV coding experience
- Ability to recognize surgical global periods in any setting
- Know and understand teaching guidelines
- Minimum chart commitment each week (TBD)
- Working knowledge of coding in EPIC system a plus, not a requirement
- Pass a coding test
- Maintain high quality coding
