Does anyone know where I can purchase codebooks? The major retail stores don't seem to keep them in stock. I've tried tracking down availability at the local college bookstores, but haven't had much luck yet.

My boss told me he had books I could borrow for the CPC exam on Wednesday, but now they're not available...so I'm stuck scrambling. I've got the CPT and ICD-9 books from 2010.

the 2010 books will be of little use for the 2013 exam.
you can get books from
AAPC.com
Channelpublishing.com
AMA-ASSN.org
Contexo
and many other websites.

The only other way to get current books quickly then is to borrow them, but in my opinion 2010 is too far out of date to be of use for the exam. A 2012 ICD-9 Cm is fine since there were no changes but a 2013 CPT and HCPC II book is essential.

I'm surprised you aren't having any luck at the college bookstore. Assuming the college in question has a coding program, of course.

It is not too late to get them online. You should be able to get them at Amazon, but you would have to pay for overnight shipping.
