Wiki burn wound dressing during global unrelated to procedure.

patient had and excision of lesion done. patient came back within the 10 day global for a burn wound dressing (16020) but it's getting denied with modifier 79 as improper modifier.

What other modifiers are there for this situation?

16020 does is not bundled with excisions. So the 79 modifier is not necessary. If you remove the modifier, it should pay.

I actually did re-submit it without the modifier so now they're denying it as " SVC INCL IN GLOB SURG RATE" I don't know what to do. How do you check if codes are bundled into global?
