Has anyone coded for a Simple Bunionectomy on a Hallux with a mini tightrope implant that is connected to the second metatarsal? I read that you bill for the bunionectomy and append modifier 22 (Increased procedural service )but it is an invalid modifier with ASC centers.

tight-rope

The tight-rope is just a fixation device. The way I understand it is it's used instead of having to perform an osteotomy. I use bunionectomy code that includes fixation.
