Patient for Physical Theraphy and provider use V15.89 as BUNIONECTOMY Hx??? because this is what they have in their program when a patient recevie Physical theraphy after bunion remove, I do not see how? So I need some assistance on what Dx will be best for a patient seaking Physical therapy after Bunionectomy will 735.0 be approiate (Hallux valgus (acquired))?

The coding guidelines instruct that when the reason for the encounter is rehab(physical therapy) the first listed code must be a V57 code. V57 codes are always first listed only. You cannot use a dx code the patient does bot currently have
 
Thanks for the response of the Dx code V57. X and clarify that Dx no longer exsist should be use.
