One of my doctors did a double osteotomy AND fusion of the metatarsal and cuneiform bones with a plate and screws (as in a Lapidus procedure). He was wanting to bill both a 28290 and 28297. I think they would be denied since they are bundled. Someone else suggested using 28299 (double osteotomy) alone, but that would not capture the arthrodesis. Does anyone have a suggestion? I was thinking 28299 AND 28730.
