I have a patient that has been diagnosed with bilateral inductal carcinoma.
she underwent bilateral mastectomies June 2015. The physician has recommended chemotherapy which the patient has refused. She also had a consult for raditiaon therapy and again has refused. she also has refused any kind of Herceptin and anti-estrogen therapies.
Should I still code as malignant breast cancer or follow the guideline of history?
