For office biopsy procedure reports how do you handle the pre/post-operative diagnosis? For example, we wait for the pathology to come back before coding the and billing the procedure. Should our providers be updating the post-operative diagnosis in the header if different from what pathology returns? Are you path reports imbedded in the op reports? I'm trying to get a feel on how/if we should update our process.
