Hi,
I've looked through old posts and can't see where this has been discussed before,
Surgeon does arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and uses a mesh graft of BioBrace to augment the repair.
Can't use 15777. Shoulder isn't "breast or trunk".
It states to use 17999 in the CPT book if you're using biological implants for something other than breast or trunk but my question is - can you only use 17999 with other codes in the integumentary section?
So do you use 29999?
Thanks in advance for any and all thoughts.

If done arthroscopically, one could report 29999 in addition to 29827, comparing the work to 23412. Generally speaking, cuff augmentation is part of repair, but the GSD is silent on it and there is no other official guidance.

If done mini-open, one codes 23420 instead of 23410/23412 and the graft (as well as acromioplasty) is included.
