Confusing question but I have searched and searched and cant find a thing!! We have an orthopedic physician that leases space out of town from a chiropractor. We travel to that office once a week. The chiropractor has an xray machine. The chiropractor does not bill Medicare for xrays because Medicare will not cover xrays done by a chiropractor. We are wondering if our Orthopedic physician can bill the technical component to Medicare even though we do not own the equipment. Or......could the chiropractor bill Medicare the technical component and list our Ortho as the ordering and get it covered that way???? Our physician does not want the patient to have to pay cash for the tc portion of xray. I would appreciate any feedback! Thank you!!!!
