Wiki Billing the Patient

Is there a time limit after Medicare (or other insurances) has paid the claim to send the patient a bill for their part of the claim? We are working some old claims and I just wanted to make sure that we were not violating any rules.

There is no time limit although make sure the patient isn't a QMB. That status can be found on the Noridian portal.
