Hi Friends, I am working as a billing representative for 2 months. But i don't have any prior knowledge about billing side. I am a CPC-A holder. Landed my first job in billing in Neurology Clinic. Recently , i have claims get denied in Bcbstx for extended visits (2018). Please experts can help me out in this claim. Thanks in advance.
 
Are you saying visits from three years ago have now been denied? If this is a timely filing issue, there's not much you can do.
 
Is it so? It's partially paid not covered for extended visits. Anyway thanks for replying me. Could you plz explain me about what is reconcile and when to reconcile the claims?
 
Some insurances pay for extended visits for only certain diagnoses. Our local Anthem Blue Cross plan has a list of dx for which they will covered extended visits.

What is your timely filing days for this plan? My local Blue is 90 days. Then I have 90 days to appeal an improperly processed claim.

I highly doubt you can do anything for services in 2018. You would write off the remainder.
