Hi,

My pain management doctors sometimes use 2 trays for therapeutic spine injections when more than 1 level is injected or if performed bilaterally. What are the rules for billing trays (Epidural and myelogram). Are both reimbursed? Any advice or suggested references are welcomed.

Nope surgical trays are bundled into the procedure and into add-on codes for additional levels plus taken into account w/ mod 50.

CodingKing, Thanks for responding. I forgot to add the trays are for article 28 space-hospital billing. Is the information you provided for physician office billing or does the same rule apply to both?
