For an Established Patient who goes through the ER and our physician is consulted to do an EGD for food impaction can I use the codes 99211-99215 with a modifier 25 then bill for my EGD with removal of foreign body as the patient was never admitted and sent home after foreign body was removed? Or if the doctor receives a call from patient's PCP and wants the patient scoped today or tomorrow and it has been 2 years since the patient was last seen can I bill 99211-99215 prior to the scope as well?
