Should you bill the definitive diagnosis from the MRI report to the Insurance or bill the diagnosis on the order? We are saying use the definitive diagnosis on the MRI report and not the diagnosis on the order, as it is usually a symptom? Only use the symptom if there is no other diagnosis.
Please let me know your opinion?

Since you have the definitive dx you use that and not the symptom. Only use the symptom if the MRI does not reveal a definitive dx.

There are some saying we can bill from the order, but I think, if you are billing a global code you should bill from the report. :)
