I am not sure if this can be billed at all, or which doctor should be billing for this:
Dr. K sees patient for OV, CC is refills of meds and also discuss hip pain. After history and exam, Dr. K decides that the patient would benefit from a major joint injection (20610), but asks Dr. A (same group/specialty) to give the injection. Dr. K documents in chart note that Dr. A gave the injection.
I am confused as to who would be billing for this because I have always been told you cannot bill two visits in the same day for same patient by different doctors.
Please help!![Confused  ](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
