Wiki billing for set up time in PT?

My physical therapist wants to bill for the additional time it takes to set up the ultrasound machine on top of treatment time. I want to make sure this is allowed.

No, I don't believe that would be allowed. Per CPT instructions for physical therapy section, the work reported in the codes "consists of face-to-face time with the patient (and caregiver, if applicable) delivering skilled services". Time spent setting up a machine is not time spent delivering the service.
